Delhi 2 Dublin…I don’t even know how to introduce this band. They are so unique and so in tune with the audience. The crowd was definitely the “folk fest” crew (Winnipeggers will know what I’m talking about), and was it ever a breath of fresh air much needed in mid November. I talked with Kytami beforehand and shot the first bit of the show with my buddy Tim Loewen before dancing up a storm. It was a blast.
This was my second shoot with my new camera, and I’m really coming to like it. The Nikon D7000 is a huge step up in almost every way from my Nikon D200. The exception is ergonomics but I’m hoping when the battery grip becomes available here that will solve that problem. The small size on the other hand should come in handy when I’m traveling…and it’s looking like Asia for a few months next spring is a very real possibility! This baby’s going to get some mileage on the shutter.
I tried out the video on my D7000 for a bit, I could see this being a feature I could get to using: video
But yeah, what better way to warm up on a blustery Winnipeg night than to dance up a storm to some awesome music with good friends? I don’t know too many..
